Trench Coats & Knee High Boots
Trench coats are everything! You can dress them up or you can dress them down, you can even buy a waterproof version and look fabulous in the rain. Your call. During a recent trip to Boston, I decided to pull out my favorite classic Burberry trench coat. The weather was in the mid 50's to 60's, perfect for my trench. I wore a black dress from Zara's that read:
"In case of emergency choose the black shoes"
How fab, and totally me! A huge portion of my wardrobe is black, so my motto is:
"Always Choose Black"
I always gravitate to black when I go shopping! I can't help it but I have been recently consciously implementing other colors, but it's a work in process. Habits replace habits. Anyhow, I stuck to the basics and paired the black dress with my black Catherine Malandrino knee high boots. What I love the most about the boots, is the small pearl details in the heel of the shoe. It has a very subtle lining of pearls that I think are the perfect size. The pearls are not so big where they look obnoxious but they're big enough that you can see them from far away. I wore black polka-dot tights, but the design is so subtle, you barely notice the dots.
I am all for the small details!
It was an overall comfortable amazing day. With the winter around the corner, I now bid adieu to my favorite trench whilst I get ready for my faux furs, bubble coats, and fluffy winter accessories.
